How the shutter works
Overview

- The shutter window. Click it to see where and how the shutter
fits.
- These are the limit switches to control the shutter
position. Click any one of them to see a close-up demonstration
picture of how they operate.
- This is the filter wheel limiter lever. Click it to see a
better view.
- The gear that drives the shutter back and forth. The holes
are, obviously, to reduce the moment of inertia. We're thinking
about getting a new one with spokes.
- This little window is where the solenoid encoder fits (on
the other side of the plate).
- Once the shutter blade is in, a cover goes on over all
this. Click there to see how it looks.
