This is the homepage of Jay Franck [email: jrf110 [at] case {dot} edu ], Astronomy PhD student at Case Western Reserve University. Stacy McGaugh is my thesis advisor. My research interests are focused on high redshift protoclusters to determine:

When and how do large structures assemble in the early Universe?
How does the red sequence feature of clusters evolve over time?
Are massive protoclusters (e.g. Pink Elephants) rare occurrences?

The Candidate Cluster and Protocluster Catalog (CCPC; see First Author Publications Above) was constructed from an archival spectroscopic redshift catalog search of galaxies at z>2. We identified more than 200 such objects, and can be found in this list. Future work plans to investigate these objects further in Cosmological and Galaxy Formation contexts.
