6/07:
Wrote main matching program for M13, which looks for RA and Dec matches within 1 square arcsec between the Clem and Kyle files, then combines the useful parts of the two into a single output file. Also began modifying it to work on other clusters. Then worked on plotting CMD's for M13 to see how good our data was in terms of what stars were useful to us and where they were on the CMD.
CMD of M13 overlaid with stars we have proper motions for (in red) See also this.
6/08:
Adapted matching program for M92 and M71. Got separation data, plugged it into matching program. Have to run all the matching programs again. Used the new separation data to make cleaner plots of the Clem data for M13. Next the CMD with the overlay from yesterday (see above) got the same treatment. Next up, clem plots for M92. Aaaaaaaaand M92 zoomed-in with the overlay. Attempted the same thing with M71, results weren't so great, so no plots yet. Instead, here are RA vs Dec plots of M92 and M71 showing only the stars with probability greater than 75% of actually being cluster members.
Replotted the overlay for M13, now with stars with probability of being in the cluster less than 75% shown in blue. Also for M92.
6/09:
Cut the M71 sample down based on distance from cluster and achieved much improved results for the CMD. Now that the CMDs look good I can plot the overlay with the probabilities.
