Many times I (and other scientists) have been puzzled by how what we say
gets translated by the press. This is an example of what can happen even
when the reporter has a Ph.D. in the same field. What we said was
"the single greatest success of MOND to date is the a priori prediction
of the behavior of low surface brightness galaxies." What was written
makes it sound like these objects are a problem for the theory! This aspect
seems to have been influenced by the work
of Dalcanton & Bernstein which
is unpublished and should remain so if the refereeing system is competent:
their data are simply wrong.
